Project description: The aim of the project was to provide UNESCO with a survey of their working area in the old city of Mosul: an area of about 52 hectares stretching from the Al Nouri mosque to the Tigris river.
After selecting the control points we surveyed them, and then carried out flights with an RTK drone: one flight at 120 m altitude for a pixel resolution of about 2.5 cm, and further flights over selected areas at 80 m altitude for a 1.5 cm pixel resolution. The data were then processed to obtain the point clouds, the 3D terrain model and the orthophotos.
